Dear VAGARA Members,

Wow I can’t believe it’s already June! Seems like yesterday everyone one was complaining about “snowcrete.” It’s certainly a relief to be back in season of heat and humidity complaints. Any who …  What’s way more exciting is conference registration is OPEN for members and nonmembers alike. For all our vendor and exhibitor friends out there, we still have slots available at both the Partner and Supporter Tier. With the howling theme of “Lead Your Pack to Success!”  I’m excited to meet and learn with all of you this October 21st-23rd at the Great Wolf Lodge. More on the conference in the upcoming Summer’s Newsletter. 

I’m happy to announce we’ve welcomed two new board members-at-large, Ruth Visuete Perez (City of Roanoke) and Jenna Coyle (Williamsburg Airport Authority). Jenna will also be serving as our new Membership Chair. Both fit well with the board and it’s great to expand our board representation to Southwestern Virginia and Hampton Roads.

The VAGARA Board, Conference Committee, and volunteers are working away to make this year’s activities a success! Last April we celebrated Records Management Month with a free webinar for membership. We received overwhelmingly positive responses from attendees, and we hope to bring more virtual programming to our membership in the future … stay tuned! The VAGARA party never stops!
