Dear VAGARA Members,

The COUNT DOWN IS ON! Conference time is just around the corner (October 21-23, Great Wolf Lodge, Williamsburg) and spaces are going like hot cakes. If you haven’t already, make sure you register.  If you or your colleague is not an active member the time to renew or join our ranks is now (join renew here). It’s cheaper to sign up or renew annual membership than to pay as a non-member (plus you get the perks of membership!).

Our conference committee, volunteers, and board are cooking up an awesome event this year.  We will have a stellar slate of educational records management sessions including our keynote by Dr. Moya Hill, networking opportunities, and last but certainly not least  … waterslides. It’ll be a professional conference for the record books! More details in the Fall Newsletter.

Separate from the conference, I’m happy welcome our new executive board historian Teshawna “T” Threat (Library of Virginia).  T also serves as the Chair of the Virtual Programming Committee, and is a valued member of the Conference Committee, and not to mention our LinkedIn Guru!

I’m so excited about seeing you all next month! I already have my water goggles and floaties packed!
